EYFS

We believe that every child derserves the best in life and support to fulfil their potential. To do this the playgroup follows the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The overarching aim of the EYFS is to help the children achieve the five Every Child Matters outcomes of:
Staying safe
Being healthy
Enjoy and achieving
Making a positive contribution
Achieving economic well-being

The EYFS principles are grouped into four themes and commitments:
A unique child
Positive relationship
Enabling environments
Learning and developments

These in turn cover three primary areas of Learning
Personal, social and emotional development
Communication and language 
Physical 

with four secondary areas

Mathematics
Literacy
 understanding  the world
Creative development

Learning through play
